The Department's specialization
Mary: Hi, Professor ,I would like to ask you a few questions about the department's curriculum .

Professor : Of course ,what would you like to know ?

Mary:Can I choose a specialization such as 19th century English literature ?

Professor : There are no specializations ,but you may choose to write you were a senior thesis on any topic you choose .

Mary:OK ,and is there a wide variety of classes offered each semester ?

Professor : Classes are limited to freshman ,but after the first year you may take more and advanced courses.

Mary:Great .I am particularly interested in Walt Whitman's poetry .

Professor : we offer a course each spring on his poetry .

Mary:Really ?That sounds interesting.
