如果月亮会说话，它会和孩子聊些什么呢？
夜幕降临，屋子里所有的玩具和摆设都回归原位。
在灯光下，爸爸在读故事，妈妈来陪宝宝，孩子躺在床上，昏昏欲睡……
这是一首属于孩子的诗歌，静谧温暖，
让我们和胖胖一起，和月亮对话吧。

Somewhere a pair of shoes lies under a chair.
A window yawns open.
Twilight blazes a trail across the wall.
某个地方，椅子下面有一双鞋。
窗户像打着哈欠一样慢慢被打开。
夜色循着墙壁弥散开来。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of evening stealing through the woods,
and a lizard scurrying home to supper.
如果月亮会说话，
它会说夜晚偷偷溜进丛林，
一只蜥蜴匆匆忙忙回家吃晚餐。

Someone hums quietly.
A clock ticks.
A light flicks on.
有人轻轻哼唱。
闹钟滴答作响。
电灯打开满室光亮。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of stars flaring up one by one,
and a small fire burning by a tree.
如果月亮会说话
它会说星星一个一个被点亮
树边燃起一小丛篝火

Papa opens a book and turns the pages.
A story unfolds like a banner wandering across the sky.
爸爸展开一本书，一页页翻开
故事向天空舒展横幅，展现开来。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of sand blowing across the desert,
and nomads crouching by the dune.
如果月亮会说话
它会说沙子抚过沙漠，
牧民蹲在沙丘边。

On a small table sits a glass,
a wooden boat, a starfish, too.
一张小桌子，上面一个玻璃杯
一艘木船，还有一个小海星。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of waves washing onto the beach,
shells, and a crab resting.
如果月亮会说话
它会说浪拍着沙滩
贝壳和蟹住在上面

Music chimes from a small box on a shelf.
A mobile stirs the air.
On a chair, a rabbit sits listening.
架子上一个小盒子里， 音乐声传出。
铃声在空气中旋转。
椅子上，一只小兔坐在椅子上听着

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of the wind rocking a tree,
and a bird safe in its nest.
如果月亮会说话
它会说风吹动一棵树
小鸟安全地住在巢里。

Mama hands her child the rabbit.
She hugs her and pulls the blankets tight under her chin.
妈妈将小兔递给宝宝
拥抱她，把毯子拉到宝宝的下巴边，以防着凉。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of a faraway den,
and a lion licking the cubs.
如果月亮会说话
它会说在遥远的窝里
一只狮子在舔着它的宝宝们

Eyes close.
There is a drowsy hush.
Darkness swells into a colorful dream.
眼睛闭上，
令人昏昏欲睡的安静
黑暗变成彩色的梦。

And if the moon could talk,
it would tell of a child,
curled up in bed wrapped in sleep.
如果月亮会说话
它会说宝宝蜷缩在床上，
被睡意包围。

And it would murmur:
Good night.
它会小声说：晚安！
