【Pete the Cat Saves Christmas】

It was the day before Christmas and Santa was ill.
In the cold winter wind he had caught a bad chill.
那是圣诞节的前夕，圣诞老人病了。
圣诞老人得了严重的风寒。

Will Christmas be canceled ?
圣诞节会被取消吗？
Will it come to that ?
会到那步吗？
“Never!”cried Santa “let’s call Pete the Cat !”
绝对不能！圣诞老人吼道，打电话给Pete猫。

Santa asked Pete to deliver the toys to all the good girls and to all the good boys
圣诞老人让Pete猫给所有的好男孩和好女孩送玩具。

“I ‘ll do it ! ”said Pete .
“我一定能做到”Pete猫说。

“And although I am small, at Christmas we give , so I’ll give it my all. ”
虽然我很渺小，但是，圣诞节是给予的日子，我会给予我的全部力量。

Pete jumped in his minibus and started to roll.
Pete跳上小型公共汽车，出发！

“Road trip !”cried Pete .
“上路”Pete喊道。

“First stop – The North Pole.”
“第一站，北极。”

The reindeer were waiting to give Pete a tow,
so he packed up the presents and told them to go .
驯鹿在等Pete，
他要拉着Pete去送礼物。

Then the minibus flew, just like in a movie .
迷你公车开始飞起来啦！就像是在电影里一样。
Pete the cat cried , “This is totally groovy!”
Pete喊道，“太刺激了！“

“I can do it !”Said Pete, “and although I was small ,
at Christmas we give , so I’ll give it my all.”
“我能做到的”Pete说，”虽然我很渺小，
但是，圣诞节是给予的日子，我会给予我的全部力量。

Give it your all, give it your all.
At Christmas we give, so give it your all .
给予你的全部，给予你的全部，
在圣诞节，我们给予，给予你的全部。

As the children were sleeping all snug in their beds ,
Pete and his reindeer appeared overhead .
当孩子们孩子还在舒适的小窝里面熟睡时，
Pete和驯鹿出现在他们头顶。

Straight down the chimney Pete flew in a dash ,
then back in his minibus quick as a flash .
Pete飞快地从烟囱进到每个孩子的家里，放下礼物，
再像一道闪电一样回到迷你公车里。

Each time he delivered a holiday gift ,
he crossed off a name written on Santa’s list.
每送完一个礼物，P
ete都会在圣诞老人的礼物名单上划掉一个名字。

Santa’s list was so big , and Pete felt so small.
圣诞老人的礼物名单这么长，Pete感到自己太渺小了。

But at Christmas we give , so he gave it his all .
但是圣诞节不就是要给予么，那就给予Pete所有的力量吧！

给予你的全部，给予你的全部，
在圣诞节，我们给予，给予你的全部。

At the very last minute they reached the last house.
在紧要的最后一分钟，Pete终于送到了最后一家。

Pete dashed in and out just as quit as a mouse .
Pete嗖嗖地进到小孩子的家里，放下礼物，飞快地跑出来，快地像只紧张的小老鼠。

Then right at the break of the new Christmas Day,
Pete and his reindeer were flying away .
就在圣诞前夕结束，圣诞节当天到来的那一刻，
Pete和驯鹿终于完成使命，飞走啦！

Back at the North Pole , old Santa was waiting .
回到北极，年迈的圣诞老在等着Pete猫。
The elves and the townsfolk were all celebrating .
精灵和村民们在庆祝圣诞礼物的送达。
他们举着大牌子，写到THANK YOU , PETE !谢谢你！Pete猫！

Santa was dressed in his red coat and hat and cried ,
圣诞老人穿着他红色的圣诞衣服和圣诞帽子，对Pete猫喊道
“Hip hip hooray for our friend Pete the Cat .”
我们的朋友Pete猫，万岁！
“I did it !”said Pete .
我做到了，Pete兴奋地说道。
“And although I am small ,in the spirit of Christmas I gave it my all!”
虽然我很渺小，但是在圣诞给予精神的感召下，我给予了我所有的力量！
