Everyone in Ed's family is a clown.
艾迪的家人都是小丑

Ed's grandfather is a clown.
艾迪的祖父是小丑

Ed's father is a clown.
艾迪的父亲是小丑

Ed's mother is a clown.
艾迪的母亲是小丑

Ed wants to be a clown too.
艾迪也想成为一名小丑

Now Ed is seven years old.
现在艾迪7岁了

He will go to clown school.
他将要去小丑学校上学了

“Ed, here's your school uniform,”said his mother.
“艾迪，这是你的校服，”他妈妈说

As Ed looked at his uniform, he was very surprised.
艾迪看着他的校服，他感到很惊讶

The coat was too long for his arms.
相对于他的胳膊来说，外套显得太长了

And the pants were too short for his legs.
而且裤子也太短了

The shoes were too big for his feet.
鞋子也太大了

And the hat was too small for his head.
帽子也太小戴不下

“Mom! My uniform doesn't fit,”Ed said.
“妈，我的校服不合身哇”艾迪说

Ed's mother looked at each piece of clothing.
艾迪的妈妈看着每件衣服

“Everything is perfect. Let me help you put it on,”she said, smiling.
“每一件都很完美，让我帮你穿上”她笑着说

“There you are, Dear. Now I will paint your face. I'll make your mouth bigger.”
“看啦，亲爱的，我给你画个脸，我让你的嘴更大，

“I'll paint a tear under your eye. I'll give you a red nose.
我会在你的眼睛下面画一滴泪，我会给你个红鼻子

And here is a funny hat on your head,”said his mother.
而且这里有一顶有趣的帽子”她妈妈说

Ed looked in the mirror. He was very happy.
艾迪看着镜子，他很开心

“Does this mean I'm a clown?”he asked.
“这是否意味着我是个小丑了？”他问

“No,”says his mother.”You only look like one.”
“不”他妈妈说“你只是看起来像一个小丑”

So Ed walked to clown school with two smiles.
所以艾迪带着两个笑容去上小丑学校了

One was painted. And one was real.
一个是画的，一个是真实的。
