Agnes obel 在 Gentofte出生于一个音乐世家，在孩提时代就已近开始学习钢琴。她的母亲经常为她演奏巴托克和肖邦的钢琴曲。在童年Agnes Obel在扬约翰森的曲风中找到灵感。（约翰森的歌曲，以爵士乐的风格演绎欧洲民间小调，在当时影响了很多年轻音乐家）

Agnes Obel的创作不仅限于一个音乐风格。在她的音乐中，往往会出现民谣及独立风格音乐的影子。她的歌曲能触及观众的心灵，因为这些歌曲即随性又简单，她的性感和高雅的声乐演奏是音乐整体的核心要素，并且有如梦幻般的诗意。


Agnes Obel从小就接受了钢琴训练，并且结识了家乡哥本哈根许多当地的乐队以及音乐制作人，Agnes Obel编曲，填词，包括后期的混音制作都是一个人去完成。

Agnes obel 至今创作了两张专辑Aventine以及Philharmonic分别创作于2013年.2010年共23首
