Forge v.1. to put a lot of efforts into making sth. successful or strong so that it will last.强调通过艰苦努力完成一件事。 eg. She forged a new career in the wholesale business.
2.to make an illegal copy of sth in order to cheat people. 伪造 eg.He's getting good at forging his mother's signature.
3. forge ahead with sth ：to move forward quickly; to make a lot of progress quickly. 迅速向前，进步神速。The company is forging ahead
with its plans for expansion.
